Ralf Weihrauch first got involved with the Whisky Priests when he became the band's booking agent in 1991 until 1996. He lives in the Ruhrgebiet, Germany's industrial coalmining region, so there is a strong relationship and affinity between his own background and the Durham-based background of the rest of The Whisky Priests.
A fine accordionist of many years standing, Ralf became a professional performing artist again in 2003 as a Soloist, in the Irish Folk-Party-Band Crashandoh and with the Ralf Weihrauch Trio. He has released two Solo Albums, one with the Trio and two with Crashandoh. In 2005, in a duo project with Whisky Priests lead singer Gary Miller, he recorded the album 'Stand Fast, Stand Steady'and followed the release with a two-week tour in Germany, Austria and Italy. On top of that he has performed on several other albums from Heavy Metal to Punk as a much-in-demand session musician.
Ralf is currently working on a CD of German Folksongs, arranged with electronic instruments, due for release in 2019.
