Michael Stephenson
Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals

Michael was a member of the original Whisky Priests line-up, performing at the band's debut concert at Fowlers Yard, Durham City, on 4th October 1985 and helping the band through its formative period of gigging throughout the UK's 1980's pub, college and small venues circuit.

As well as numerous early demos and the band's first official release 'Danny's Hard Life' for a local compilation album of Durham bands (1986), Michael played on The Whisky Priests' debut single 'The Colliery' (1987) and the band's two subsequent 12" EP's 'No Chance' (1988) and 'Grandfatha's Fatha' (1988). He was also involved in The Whisky Priests debut TV performance on one of the last editions of the popular music programme The Tube in January 1987.

Michael originally left the band in 1988, to be replaced by Mick Tyas.
